Tjarko Busink Excellent Dutch fusion! The compositions, playing and recording quality is great. Accessible and groovy, but fortunately there are still rough edges. Love the lyrical bass solo by Klompmakers in Patience Comes To Those Who Wait, which is a lovely tune in general. And on top of all this good stuff there's Anton Goudsmit, one of the best guitar players in the Netherlands (been a fan of his work since Ninsk). Van de Pol (sax) and Breel/Verdonk (perc) are very inspired in I Thought You Said Bebop. Favorite track: I Thought You Said Bebop.

After we won the JazzBoZ award at the Jazzfestival in Bergen op Zoom, we immediately knew we wanted to use the prize money for the recording of our first EP. After a lot of planning, writing and rehearsing, we hit the recording studio of Frans Vollink in february 2018. We didn't just record with the four of us. We had asked dutch jazz guitar powerhouse Anton Goudsmit to play on our title track, "Shoot The Messenger", and later on we added percussion tracks of master percussionist Martin Verdonk. On top of that, Frans helped and steered us along the way, positively impacting the sound of the band in ways we couldn't imagine, and he took care our project as if it were his own. We're not only proud of the end result, but also eternally grateful for the help of Anton, Martin and especially Frans.
That being said, we sincerely hope you enjoy our music. May it bring as much joy to you as a listener as it does to us.
